Hangers that are nailed can still be taken down with enough force, but this at least proves that the resident went out of their way to steal something from the room- and high fees may be charged as a result.</p>
<p>The most secure of hangers can simply have a lock slapped on them, and your theft problem is gone for good. Unless of course the tenant is especially crafty and motivated. The hangers with locks do cost more since they are more complex than a simple nail system. They also require that they be placed on a bar that can&#8217;t be taken out very easily, or else hotel tenants can simply take the hangers off the bar itself.</p>

<p>The handset retails for about $50 in most areas. It is about par with other handsets considering the price, but also has unique features you won&#8217;t find with other handsets. It&#8217;s these features that offset some of the shortcomings of the device. Some, like the one-touch voicemail button, can save a lot of time in using the phone system.</p>
<p>Synchronizing your headset with the Ooma contacts database in your Ooma panel is possible with the headset. You won&#8217;t get this type of functionality with other headsets, so it&#8217;s definitely a major selling point. Otherwise you may have to spend a good hour putting in numbers and names. Instead, Ooma headset users push a button when they add all their contacts from their online panel.</p>
<p>Having a phone is great, but when the phone can be more than just one device, you are getting more for your buck. The Ooma headset doesn&#8217;t disappoint here, since it is actually three things in one: a baby monitor, an intercom, and then of course the phone it was built for. Baby monitors and intercoms are very useful for keeping track of family members and is especially useful for when you need to contact family in a large house.</p>
<p>The speed of the device is likely the worst thing about the headset. It just doesn&#8217;t feel so responsive like a phone should. When cycling through contacts or features in the phone, you will notice that the lag period between pushing a button and seeing the phone react can be easily noticed. It doesn&#8217;t kill the phone entirely, but it&#8217;s definitely something the Ooma team should have seen and fixed before releasing the headset to the public.</p>
<p>As far as looks go, the Ooma handset can&#8217;t get much better. It&#8217;s a sleek black that looks great right out of the box. The numbers are large, soft to the touch, and well laid out. You won&#8217;t have problems figuring out the different functions or trying to push buttons. The one gripe about the base for the phone is that the LED can&#8217;t be shut off. If your phone is in the base, you can bet the LED will be on too- kind of annoying.</p>

<p>Overall, the Ooma Telo handset is a great buy. Compared to other phones it might not have the speed and such, but it does make up for it with extra features that syncs to the online applications Ooma has developed.</p>
